Bunratty Castle

Bunratty CastleOne of the great appeals of the Ennis region is that it is richly endowed with a range of visitor attractions that provide the visitor with a wide choice of opportunities for enjoyment, whatever the weather.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park: The Castle, built in 1425, has been authentically restored to its former medieval splendour and houses an array of medieval treasures. Within the grounds is Bunratty Folk Park, where Irish village life at the turn of the century is beautifully recreated.

Cliffs of Moher

Cliffs of MoherOne of Europe's outstanding coastal features, where the giant, rugged coastline rises to nearly 700 feet of sheer cliff above the Atlantic Ocean.

O'Brien's Tower, which was constructed in the early 19th century as a viewing point for Victorian tourists, is located on Moher's highest cliff. From its exceptional vantage position you can view the Clare coastline, the Aran Islands and mountains as far apart as Kerry and Connemara.
